Dental Bridges in Boca Raton, FL
Our dentists at Dental Care of Boca Raton in Boca Raton have several options for patients to choose from when they want to replace teeth. It is important to replace teeth as soon as you can to keep the other remaining ones healthy. One option to consider are dental bridges, specifically implant-supported bridges.
What is an Implanted-supported Bridge?
Most bridges that people get today get support from either dental crowns or frames. However, implant-supported bridges get support from dental implants in the jaw. If you’re missing more than one tooth, then this is a bridge you might want to consider because it functions like real teeth.
Usually, for every tooth that is missing, an implant is put into the jaw to support the bridge. However, our dentists will carefully examine your jaw, especially if you lost teeth to gum disease. Periodontitis can affect the jawbone and cause it to deteriorate. If you’ve lost too much bone, then the dental implants could fail.

Determining Eligibility for Implants
Our dentists at Dental Care of Boca Raton will determine the thickness of your jawbone. As the dental implants supporting the bridge are smaller than those replacing missing teeth, the jaw doesn’t have to be as thick or deep as it would need to be to support tooth-sized implants.
Our dentists near you in Boca Raton can determine your eligibility for implants and then prepare a plan for replacing your missing teeth with a bridge. An implant-supported bridge is similar to a fixed traditional bridge except for its use of implants instead of dental crowns.

Attaching the Bridge
The bridge is not removable because the porcelain restorations that replace your teeth screw onto the implant posts and get permanently attached to them. The bridge not only gives you the full function of your teeth back, but it helps preserve the jaw and keeps the remaining teeth that you have in their proper place and healthy.
If you need to replace teeth that our dentists at Dental Care of Boca Raton in Boca Raton are removing, consider getting an implant-supported bridge that will provide you with the full use of teeth that look natural instead of like replacements.

I absolutely LOVE this Dental office! Dr. A is the absolute best, very experienced, quick and genuinely cares about the comfortability of his patients. I wouldn't want anyone else to work on my teeth but him. His staff are all extremely kind and I always leave much better (mentally and physically) and cleaner than when I went in. I would absolutely recommend this place 100% of the time!! :)
Rachel HoldmanI had to have my front tooth crown replaced because it was poorly done by a previous dentist
My new front crown is PERFECT! Dr A and the staff made sure I was completely satisfied and the tooth matches perfectly. This is very difficult to do with your front teeth
Highly recommend Dental Care! They also have very convenient office hours!
Claudia RobbinsWe moved from Seattle and were in need of a new dentist for our annual check up and found them online. They were great! My hygienist was AMAZING, she made sure I was comfortable during my visit and my cleaning, she explained everything to me.The Dr was great too. Definitely staying with them while we live in FL.
Mileydi MathisonVery nice place and wonderful staff, I was always very well informed about every aspect of my treatment plan and they assisted me very well on some scheduling issues I had due to my time availability. The doctor was very knowledgeble and made me feel very confident and relaxed about my diagnostic and treatment.
