Root Canals in Boca Raton, FL
At Dental Care of Boca Raton in Boca Raton, we emphasize the importance of restorative dentistry. Restorative dentistry focuses on fixing problems so that the mouth returns to its regular function. In other words, our staff is able to restore your teeth and gums so you can chew, eat, speak, and smile without pain or discomfort following tooth decay, gum disease, dental infections, or other problems.
One of our most common restorative procedures is the root canal. During a root canal, our dentist repairs a tooth experiencing an internal infection called tooth decay. Our office stands out from the rest by featuring modern technology combined with comfortable exam rooms and friendly staff.

The Procedure
Our root canals at Dental Care of Boca Raton in Boca Raton utilize a combination of our staff’s experience and the office’s modern technology. After the initial consultation where our dentist determines whether or not the tooth can be saved, your mouth is numbed with a local anesthetic. Afterward, our dentist drills a small hole through the enamel.
Our technology allows us to perform the entire procedure through this hole. Using specialized tools, the dentist removes any diseased, decayed, or infected pulp all the way from the crown down to the roots. Afterward, the interior is sanitized and filled with a substance called gutta-percha. The tooth is then covered with a crown, which is a small cap for the top of the tooth.

How Long Does the Procedure Take?
From start to finish, we are able to complete a single root canal in an hour, if not less. However, we focus on quality rather than speed to ensure the tooth does not become infected again after it has been sealed. If you are worried about time, we can schedule a future appointment for the procedure rather than doing it on the same day.
Will the Root Canal Hurt?
Root canals have been demonized by modern pop culture as one of the most unpleasant and painful dental procedures. At Dental Care of Boca Raton, this is not true. We use an anesthetic to ensure you feel no pain during the treatment and can prescribe medication afterward to handle any discomfort and swelling.
I absolutely LOVE this Dental office! Dr. A is the absolute best, very experienced, quick and genuinely cares about the comfortability of his patients. I wouldn't want anyone else to work on my teeth but him. His staff are all extremely kind and I always leave much better (mentally and physically) and cleaner than when I went in. I would absolutely recommend this place 100% of the time!! :)
Rachel HoldmanI had to have my front tooth crown replaced because it was poorly done by a previous dentist
My new front crown is PERFECT! Dr A and the staff made sure I was completely satisfied and the tooth matches perfectly. This is very difficult to do with your front teeth
Highly recommend Dental Care! They also have very convenient office hours!
